Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations have begun across the country today (September 7) and our favourite stars are also celebrating the auspicious occasion with joy. Many actors have welcomed Lord Ganesha in their homes and shared festival wishes with fans on social media. After a gap of a few years, India’s Best Dancer 4 host Jay Bhanushali is also excited to celebrate the festival with his family.
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Jay Bhanushali extended his warm wishes for Ganesh Chaturthi. He revealed that after a gap of many years, his family is once again celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi at home with great enthusiasm and pomp. The actor said, “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi to everyone! We have always celebrated Ganpati Puja at home, but for the last few years, we were not able to do so. However, from this year, we are bringing back the tradition and will celebrate Ganpati Puja at our home with our family and relatives. I am eagerly waiting for this special moment spent together.”
Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi and Ganesh Chauth, is one of the most awaited festivals in India, especially in Mumbai. The festival which began today will conclude with Ganpati Visarjan on September 17. The immersion of Ganesha idols in a water body symbolises the return of Lord Ganesha from his heavenly abode on Mount Kailash to his mother Goddess Parvati.
Talking about work, Jay Bhanushali is currently hosting the fourth season of the famous dance reality show India’s Best Dancer. Karisma Kapoor, Geeta Kapoor and Terence Lewis are seen as judges in the show. It premiered on Sony Entertainment Television on July 13.
The actor gained wide recognition for his role of Neev Shergill in Ekta Kapoor’s show, Qayamat. He made his Bollywood debut in 2014 with the film Hate Story 2.
Jay Bhanushali is married to actress Mahhi Vij. They got married in 2011 and are parents to three children – Khushi, Rajveer and Tara.
